CRUCIAL
The varieties selected for CRUCIAL Chlorofiltre have several benefits. It is a mixture that has anti-beet nematode (H. schachtii) action and is resistant to aphanomyces and cabbage rootworm.
We chose varieties with high summer biomass production in order to achieve rapid soil cover. ECLAIR Alexandria clover is a single-cut variety, producing more summer biomass than a multi-cut variety and there is no risk of regrowth.
The root systems of the anti-nematode radish and the single-cut Alexandria clover are complementary. The anti-nematode forage radish has a pivoting system, whereas the Alexandria clover root system is fasciculated. This provides effective soil structuring.
- 30% fodder radish
- 70% Alexandrinum clover
GOFAST
The GOFAST mix is an exceptionally cost-efficient cover crop that combines ease of implementation with high biomass production. It offers several functional benefits, including outstanding biomass yields, simplicity of application with low seed rates, and an excellent structuring effect that improves soil health. Additionally, it is easy to terminate at the end of its growth cycle, making it a practical and effective choice for farmers.
- 60% white mustard ODETTE or comparable
- 22% phacelia
- 18% Alexandrinum clover or Egyptian clover TABOR
M-DYNAMIC
M-DYNAMIC delivers abundant, top-quality forage in a short timeframe, making it ideal for use in autumn and/or early spring harvesting. The complementary selection of species and varieties ensures a perfect balance of productivity, forage quality, and harvesting flexibility.
The inclusion of two hairy vetch varieties enhances and stabilizes the protein content of the mix, while the ploidy of the two Italian ryegrass varieties accelerates the drying process. Additionally, thanks to its legume components, M-DYNAMIC serves as an excellent crop rotation option, improving soil fertility for future plantings.
- 50% Italian ryegrass
- 25% hairy vetch
- 15% crimson clover (SAS STIM)
- 10% balansa clover
NKG biodivers
The mix is ideal for use in a no-till farming system. It quickly covers the soil and requires minimal nitrogen input for optimal results. This mix is highly frost-sensitive and can be easily terminated mechanically. The recommended sowing period is from July to mid-September, with a seeding rate of 22-25 kg/ha. However, if nematode and/or viruses issues are present or anticipated, consult the Best4Soil.eu website for guidance.
- 25% phacelia
- 32% Alexandrinum klaver
- 18% oil flax
- 25% common vetch
EASY
This mix offers both ease of establishment and destruction. Planting is straightforward, and the selected varieties show vigorous development throughout the summer.
The inclusion of DAIKON Asian radish provides a significant structuring effect, with its powerful root system deeply aerating and conditioning the soil. This feature is a valuable advantage when preparing for the next crop.
TABOR Alexandria clover plays a key agronomic role in nitrogen recovery. It reduces the carbon-to-nitrogen (C/N) ratio, ensuring nutrients are released more quickly and made readily available for subsequent crops.
- 30% brown mustard
- 40% Daikon/Asian radish DAIKO
- 20% Alexandrinum clover TABOR
- 10% phacelia
M-VALO
The ideal winter cover crop for sowing in late September and October combines robust performance and adaptability. Stooling rye establishes well in autumn and delivers high biomass potential due to its strong tillering capacity. This hardy species is both disease-resistant and winter-hardy, ensuring reliable growth even in challenging conditions.
The legume varieties included in the mix guarantee a consistently high legume content across a wide range of soil types and climatic conditions. ALDO and NICKEL, early-flowering varieties, are specifically bred to thrive in mixtures with grasses, while the late-flowering hairy vetch SAVANE ensures the continued presence of legumes in the mix, even during severe winters.
- 60% stooling rye TONUS
- 15% hairy vetch SAVANE
- 15% hairy vetch NICKEL
- 10% crimson clover ALDO
NITRAMAX
It may sometimes be necessary to include legumes in the sowing mix. This is particularly advantageous for early sowing. This mix is partially winter-hardy in mild winters. If there are issues or anticipated problems with nematodes, opt for a pure, multi-resistant radish variety CORDOBA or VALENCIA
The recommended seeding rate is 40-50 kg per hectare; for later sowing, use the higher rate. An initial nitrogen application of 30 kg N/ha is sufficient for steady growth on stubble land; for later sowing, apply an additional 10 kg N.
- 30% fodder radish VALENCIA/TAJUNA
- 55% hairy vetch 3/4 common vetch 1/4
- 15% crimson clover
